Excellent game. I'm hoping for more vehicle stages in part 2. I loved the Jet Ski and Jeep stages.

No but it might help him get "into" the characters head and understand his motivations. The movie is based on a game wouldn't you want the actor to experience the character in the medium in which the character was brought to life?

Everything is bias when it doesn't 100% agree with you. You fruits flip every time one of these things come out. GT is bias when the 360 wins something but totally gods word when the PS3 wins something.

When I first heard he got the role I thought he was way too short to play the great Max Payne. Now he comes out and says he hasn't and won't play the game?! The hill is already steep for making a half way decent video game movie this kind of stuff while not critical clearly doesn't help. This is another reason to set your expectations for this movie very very low. Its most likely going to be another epic fail video game movie.

SegaNet was the shot across the bow of Sony and Nintendo. Both of them ignored it and their executives downplayed onlines importance.
How can you excuse that oversight and give Sony or Nintendo a "handicap" for dragging their feet? I can't. Plus the PS2 had a "online service" too it just didn't have a three letter acronym name.
The PSN is getting better no doubt. Adding in game text chat helped. But PSN is still lacking real cross game universal voice chat. With the fall update you'll be able to group and voice chat at the OS level outside of games on XBL.
Also having to create a three level login to play MSO. I know it was Konami not PSN that came up with the idea but it was allowed to happen do to the hands off policy of PSN.

But wouldn't this be really easy to test before they posted this article? Couldn't you just disconnect from PSN, change your system date and test this or did Kojima-san think of this already and you HAVE to be connected to PSN for the date lock to open?

I think the main issue is how Sony could offset the money Warner could make with a simultaneous Bluray and DVD release. Warner only cares about maximizing Dark Knight profits nothing more. Warner doesn't have love for one platform over another... Thats obviously from their long hold out in the HD DVD vs. Bluray format war. Only massive "undisclosed" $$$ tipped the scales.

On topic I think this is a good sign that EA is finally testing the mature rated waters. While they are the gaming evil empire I have to give them props for the new IP's they're releasing in the near future. Dead Space and Mirror's Edge are both looking really good.

It's highly doubtful in my opinion that GTA V will be out this generation based on the release format last generation, how successful that format was last generation and how much it cost to create GTA IV. We're more likely to see a multiplatform expansion to GTA IV using an improved RAGE engine. There is just too much money to be made with the GTA series being multiplatform. The multiplatform GTA genie is already out of the bottle and we know Sony's stategy is to focus all their money on firs...
